The Brown Mansion's main floor includes a two-story entry, living room,
parlor, music room, library, solarium, dining room, billiard room, kitchen,
and maid’s quarters. Five bedrooms and three full baths are on the
second floor. The entire third floor is a ballroom which at times served as
a school room and gymnasium for the Brown’s son.
A full basement houses the butler’s quarters, laundry, heating system,

Dalton Defenders Days celebrates that fateful day of October 5, 1892 when
the Dalton Gang was defeated in Coffeyville Kansas. The Dalton Gang
attempted to rob two banks in Coffeyville and all but one of them was shot
and killed. We celebrate the four towns people who gave their lives
DALTON DEFENDER DAYS
The museum, owned and operated by the non-profit Coffeyville Historical
Society, is the realization of a dream of many Coffeyville citizens who
understood the importance of collecting items not only relating to the Dalton
Raid but also relating to early-day life in the Coffeyville area. In the
museum, which is just east of the Plaza area, are collections of the following:

Mementos of Wendell Willkie - who lived and taught school in Coffeyville
Mementos of Walter Johnson - who lived in Coffeyville
Mementos of the Dalton Raid
The historic Midland Theater was listed in the National Register of Historic
Places February 09, 2005 for significance in the areas of Architecture and
Recreation/Culture. It is the hope of the Midland Theater Foundation to
restore and revitalize the Midland Theater so it can once again become a
location where the community may celebrate its heritage as well as cultural
exhibits of the future.
